Badminton 2018: Ready to Smash

Badminton season is here!

The coach for this year’s team is Ms Wang, and the captains for girls and boys are Michelle Zhu and Mike Chen respectively. The team is currently in pre-season, and official practices will start on February and will end in April.

8 boys and 8 girls will be going to APAC, which is hosted in Guangzhou this year. Michelle, the champion of last year’s APAC in the Girls Division, said, “Last year’s season was good. I hope that we get 1st place this year in any tournament we play.” She also said that she is very excited to play in APAC.

Marco L., a freshman on the team, talks about his excitement. “I can’t wait for our first tournament. Badminton is my favourite sport. I really want to go to APAC this year and compete with other schools so I can test my abilities.”

Although the upcoming games for badminton are not confirmed yet, they will be going to Tri-Cities, GISAC and APAC. Let’s show our support to Rams and cheer them on!
