Meet the New New Student

Although school started three months ago, even more new students are joining the AISG Community.

Isco K., who originally came from Pakistan and previously attended a school in Pakistan, moved to Guangzhou about a month ago. He found himself in Guangzhou because of his dad’s job. He has already made many friends even though he has only been at AISG for a few weeks. When he first got to AISG, he felt that “some students were unsocial, but [he] has now realized that it was because he didn’t approach people.” Isco also really “enjoys the way that teachers teach and the personality of each teacher is unique, which makes each class fun.” In his free time, Isco likes to “play videogames and occasionally, on very rare occasions [he] reads for fun. But [he] enjoy playing football over any other thing.” Like most new students, Isco will face difficulty when adjusting to school life here at AISG.

With the recent transition to AISG, he says that “[he] isn’t used to the workload.” He hasn’t been attending school for about 4 months and moving to a school with a more rigorous curriculum has been rough for him. “Even though I have been stressed with all the homework and summatives, I still have been enjoying school,” says Isco K. Apart from school, Isco K. is also planning on trying out for the soccer team later on in Spring.

Isco K. is having a good time at AISG and in Guangzhou. Hope that he will have a great year and make great memories here in Guangzhou.
