On Friday, April 19, StuCo hosted their annual Talent Show starting at 5:30 p.m. in the theater. This year, there was an array of different performances — ranging from multiple grand piano performances, to extremely well choreographed dances.

Jason H. started the night off with a grand piano medley performance. It was emphatic and a great start for the rest of the talent show.

After Megan H. singing “New York State of Mind” by Billy Joel, AISG teachers: Ms. Dean, Ms. Beabout, Mr. Kennett, Ms. Maine, Ms. Navis, Dr. Escalante-Mead, Mr. Cheung, Ms. Erica, Ms. Zhu, Ms. Lin and Mr. Navis walked onto the stage, each wearing a “Mr. Tragert” mask. This was the last performance before intermission, which was perfect as the audience left the theater laughing and amazed of the performance. They sang a mashup of popular songs, which included: “Gangnam Style” and “What Does the Fox Say.”

During the intermission, GenCo sold food and drinks for the audience in case they were hungry.

Second-half of the night’s show started with Beatrice M. and Sherry K. and their dance performance. Both dancers have performed in AISG’s talent show since their freshmen year and this year as seniors, they ended their journey at AISG by performing one last time.

There was a lot of piano performances in this year’s talent show — and Tyler K. jokingly stated, “Instead of the AISG talent show, it should have been called ‘AISG Can Play Piano.'”

The final performance of the evening was AISG’s tradition: the senior dance. The seniors performed an amazing rendition of multiple songs such as but not limited to; “Kream,” “Desert,” “Handclap,” “Youth” and “High School Musical.” The dance caused many in the crowd to go wild, with many screaming and cheering our beloved seniors.

Overall, the talent show was amazing and showed that AISG students are talented. If you did not go to this years’ talent show, you should definitely check out next years’ show!
