Crossroads Zhaoqing Trip

• Bookmarks: 502764

From May 18 to 19, Crossroads, a community service club, went to a local school in Zhaoqing, China. They donated a variety of things, such as basketballs, soccer balls, ping-pong paddles, hula hoops, and art supplies. We also planned a variety of activities starting from sports to drawing sessions.

Ms. Zhu, the teacher coordinator and supervisor of Crossroads, stated, “I am really proud of our students because they worked really hard. It was also nice that they enjoyed the trip and interactions with the kids at the school. I am looking forward to next year and more members coming.”

Since it was our first time visiting this school, only 10 members from crossroads participated as a trial run. It turned out to be a success, and we are currently planning onto having another trip to the same school next year.

In my opinion, this trip was fulfilling as I was given the opportunity to help the community. Although we did not stay at the best hotel, the members who participated in this trip are all looking forward to the trip next year.
