Disney+ was released on November 12 and offers a variety of Disney shows and movies as well as other programs included in the subscription.
Additionally, Disney+ is a streaming server that offers family-friendly content. Disney+ costs $7 a month or $70 if you prepay a full year, consisting of a Verizon collaboration to give customers unlimited wireless for a year for no price. Disney+ includes movies and TV shows from Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and most importantly Disney.
On the other hand, Netflix has been a streaming service for twelve years and has become one of the most popular streaming services in the world, since it offers a large variety of titles.
Netflix has around 6,755 movies and television shows available to watch with a monthly subscription of $8.99 a month and $15.99 with HD version purchase. Netflix provides a wide range of genres from children’s movies to adult TV shows. Netflix started as a DVD rental store in 1998 and started its streaming service in 2007. Since then, Netflix has gained a lot of popularity around the world. Netflix’s popularity has grown to such an extent that approximately 37 percent of the world’s internet uses Netflix. Netflix is shown to be popular due to the variety of titles they offer, including 6,494 movies and 1,609 TV shows. Netflix also includes 150 Netflix originals produced by Netflix itself.
Disney+ is the cheaper option when comparing the two streaming services. Disney+ may be cheaper, but Netflix offers a larger variety of titles that are not just Disney-based. Netflix provides titles from horror to comedy whilst Disney+ targets a younger audience. When signed into Netflix, you can only be signed into two devices, but you are able to set five profiles. Disney+ allows four different devices to be logged in.
In my opinion, Netflix is a better option because of the different varieties available to watch and although it is more expensive I think it is worth to pay the few extra dollars for a wider selection of titles.
