AISG has been under construction for the past year or so, and much progress has been made ever since students were relocated to building A, construction crews have been hard at work renovating the original building, now named building B, and the field, which is now a massive hole in the ground.

This is all part of the school’s “Master Plan,” which involves the renovation and construction of pretty much every building on campus except for the theater.

Future plans aside, how do the students on campus feel about the construction? Well, we asked various students about their opinion on the construction.

“I’m looking forward to the new B building, I have high hopes for the renovations and judging from the concept renders, it looks like it’ll be a nice learning environment,” said senior Andrew Z.

One concerned raised by both students and parents is whether the construction sounds would disrupt classes, especially now that construction has moved onto building B, which is much closer to classrooms than previous construction projects.

“You know, I’m pleasantly surprised at how quiet the construction is, I assume it’s because anything that’s too loud is done after students leave campus, I personally haven’t heard any noise during my classes, and definitely nothing loud enough to distract me,” said senior Alex K. when he was asked about construction volume.

The last thing students were asked about were their thoughts on the future of the science park campus.

“I’m a bit sad that I won’t be able to see the completed master plan before I graduate, but I hope that students in the future will be able to enjoy and utilize the new facilities to the fullest,” said senior Savyasachi S.

All in all, the future of AISG’s master plan holds much anticipation and high hopes. Hopefully, we will not be let down when building B reopens come semester 2.
