How did COVID affect the life of the AISG Community

On October 27th, AISG announced that the students on both campuses will all switch to online learning. After the release of the message, all students in AISG Science Park were sent home after school, without participating in the after-school activities.

Unfortunately, the online classes have been continuing for a month. How did that affect the students in the AISG community? And what do they think about the changes?

“When I saw the message that the school sent us about the online classes, I was happy to go back home and have online classes. However, after a few weeks of online learning I did want to go back to school for a while because I missed the environment there”, said Ally Sung from Grade 10.

“The message that was sent out did shock me for a few seconds, and then I was happy to get home. Even after a few weeks, I was not bothered by online classes. However, my time management skills and engagement skills did get lower, which did make me stressed about the online courses afterward.”, this was an anonymous answer from a survey that was sent out while online classes.

The online courses have been a challenge not only for students but also for their parents and the whole AISG community. It has been a tough time, but it will get better in the future.
