The APAC competitions are coming up and APAC competitors are all busy training for their competitions. According to Mr. Elliot, the APAC competitions for this year, is going to occur in the Asia divisions. Currently, tennis, cross country and volleyball competitions are waiting to compete later this month.

The Volleyball team is competing at the Western Academy of Beijing from October 19th to the 23rd, competing for either 6 or 7 rounds of games. Tiffany Chan, as a member of the APAC Volleyball team provided some of her experience as an APAC player through the email interview:

When I asked Tiffany about how she felt towards the upcoming events, she replied that since this year is her first year participating in Volleyball APAC, she’s really excited to meet the other teams and give herself a challenge against harder opponents. Not only that, but she also loves the idea of APAC and going to APAC because the teams get to bond and compete in an event that they all love and spent time working on. She said that she felt nervous about the APAC Volleyball competition since she’s not as experienced as the other players.

Then, I asked Tiffany about her thoughts towards the APAC tournaments, she answered that she really enjoyed participating in APAC because it’s a time for our teams to shine. Also, all the work that they sacrificed into getting better after rounds of games, the team will finally be able to show their improved skills.

Not only the APAC Volleyball tournament is competing, the APAC tennis tournament is taking place in SFS (Seoul Foreign School) in Korea, from the 19th to the 23rd of October. Sara Quattrocchi Febles replied the email interview and shared some information about her thoughts towards APAC tennis:

Sara told me that she’s excited for the tournament, but nervous at the same time, since the season has gone by extremely fast. She played doubles with her partner, Elly Atwood, and they built a great team work together, being each other’s doubles partner.

Sara also said that she participated in the tennis tournament for the past two years and it has always been a great experience every year. Not only it helped players to improve on their skills, but it has also given the chance and opportunity to make some great friends from other APAC schools, not only in AISG. Sara’s grateful for this special experience and wishes to continue improving her tennis skills.

Seeing APAC players dedicating their time to achieve their goal, they definitely deserve a great cheer from AISG, to all of the players. It is definitely a great experience for them to compete in Asia, they will get better and better for their tournaments. Go RAMS!
