Every year, there are a couple of select individuals who choose to stay in Guangzhou during the time for their China trip. Maybe they have issues with their visas or they simply just want to stay at home. Nevertheless, no matter where you choose to go, you will have an option to have fun during this period of traveling.
Surrounded by skyscrapers and severe pollution, Guangzhou is not really an ideal place for a vacation. However, it is one of the largest cities in the world with a wide variety of culture and deep history. The Guangzhou local trip offers an adventure that allows students to experience Guangzhou from a different lens and explore its hidden beauty.
On September 26th, the students will begin their exploration of Guangzhou at Baiyun Mountain. Students will take a cable car up the mountain and take a relaxing hike back down. Along with the pleasant autumn weather and with a group of close schoolmates, this hike will be a breeze. After this, students will have a delicious meal at a restaurant located at the back of the mountain.
On Tuesday, students will go through a guided tour of Sai-Kwan district. The highlight of this tour is experiencing the rich history of Guangzhou in terms of architecture and traditional delicacies.
Wednesday will be split into three sections. In the morning, students will go up the Canton Tower to enjoy the spectacular view of Guangzhou. Riddled with skyscrapers, the industrial beauty of Guangzhou is truly a sight to behold. After this, lunch will be served at a dim sum restaurant on Ersha Island. Dim sum is a delicacy that everyone should at least try while living in Guangzhou. After lunch, students will take part in community service helping handicapped English students at GETCH (Guangzhou English Training Centre for the Handicapped).
Thursday will be the busiest day. In the morning, students will visit the Guangzhou Museum of Art and go on an urban exploration behind the Happy Valley mall. Lunch will be eaten at an Italian buffet at the Four Seasons hotel, and the rest of the day will be spent exploring the Guangzhou Museum.
Friday will be the final day of the trip, and students will enjoy a culinary experience at Garden Hotel.
Looking at all of these exciting activities, there is no need to worry about a boring time staying at home while your friends go on their China trips.
