On October 1, 2019, Will Smith and Ang Lee released a new film with some advanced technology, which helped portray one of the characters. In an interview conducted in a YouTube channel, the KoreanEnglishman, Will Smith explained some of the new features that were included in his film, Gemini Man. The film follows the story of Henry Brogan, an elite assassin that decides to retire after his 72 job, but his plan turns upside down as a mysterious operative tries to kill him. The operative is able to predict his every move, no matter how hard Henry tries to escape him. To his horror, Brogan discovers that the operative is a younger, faster, cloned version of himself.
In the interview, Will Smith explained that the cloned version of himself was actually created with computer-generated images (CGI). The clone was a 100% digital version that made Will Smith look younger, and it was built on a computer. In fact, Will Smith mentioned that the fight scenes in the movie are something that “you have never seen before,” because the younger version of himself is completely digital; for example, the CGI could include the bending of the knuckles, which appeared very realistically.
I would recommend this movie to others as the fight choreography is very cool. Since both characters (cloned and real) are in the fight, the digital fight scene makes it seem like you are in the fight as well. I also like the story of the film and how it follows both characters. Although there have been some bad reviews regarding the storyline, I feel that the movie was exciting and intriguing.
