On August 24th, BTS’s long-awaited album for their last part of the Love Yourself series finally released. The title track of the Love Yourself: 结Answer album “Idol” featuring Nicki Minaj, made its debut on Youtube at 6 pm KST (Korea Seoul Time) and in less than 24 hours, the music video garnered more than 56.2 million views, breaking various records for Kpop.
BTS has received attention from all over the world since their Love Yourself series. BTS has attended the Billboard Music Award and received the Top Social Artist award for two years in a row since 2017. Additionally, in 2017 they also performed their songs “Fake Love” and “DNA” at the BBMAs and the AMAs.
Since their release of this album, BTS has received nothing but positive feedback. American artists Khalid tweeted “I can’t stop playing this @BTS_twt sooooo good”. Tyra Banks also showed her affection towards the group as she tweeted, “Just heard those fierce boys of @BTS_twt will be in LA next week…so am I. Reunion? #TyTyLovesBTS“. Many artists have also shown their love for the group through the year such as John Legend, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Jared Leto, Halsey, Ansel Elgort, and more.
