The California fires are moving quickly across the state with the help of the hot dry weather. Due to the flames many people have had to evacuate their homes. It has happened constantly throughout the years.  The California fires have resulted in 31 deaths and has burned more than 4 million acres of land.

More than 16,500 firefighters fight more than 8,200 fires in California this year. The fires have caused the air quality to become an issue. The fires have demolished more than 8,454 structures. The conditions have been considered Red Flag making it hard for the firefighters to put out the flames. To put these flames in perspective 4 million acres in larger than the state of Connecticut.

This year has been the record breaking year of hot weather and low humidity because of the California fires. Due to the flames many people have had to evacuate their homes. It has happened constantly throughout the years. It results in many people staying in hotels. People have complained about the conditions they are put in but there is nothing they can do about it.

An anonyamous person reported “It’s all very stressful. People are not happy but there’s not much they can do about it.” The areas in which the flames reach have the power shut down. This is to prevent fires from being started from electric wires being broken due to the high powered dry winds. The result of this is many people having their food go bad.
