In the second regular season game of the 2015-16 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in a humiliating blowout by 34 points.
The final score was 132-98 with Stephen Curry scoring 35 points supported by Draymond Green, with yet another Double-Double and a strong bench, led by Andre Iguodala, scoring 20 points for 7-8 shots from the field.
Not only was the score quite surprising, especially after recent strong performances from the Cavaliers, but the extraordinary effort by the whole Warriors cast was what made the difference. Cleveland had an average overall shooting percentage of 48% but failed to stop the Warriors defensively, allowing 48% to fall from behind the perimeter. Weakened after the ejection of shooting guard J.R. Smith, the Cavaliers never really found their way into the game and were trailing by 14 points after the first quarter.
The Warriors are now 38-4 and 19-4 on the road this season.
