On March 31st, Global Issue Network (GIN) hosted their annual Color Run! Students were able to hang out, run, throw colored corn starch at each other and have fun with their friends. Teachers were able to join too. The event aims to raise funds for the Shaoguan Girls’ High School Scholarship Program. Color Run has been held at AISG for many years.
It’s also an excellent time for students to take a break from their heavy work, release stress by tossing colorful cornstarch, and run around and sweat.
Color Run is an event inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi, which celebrates spring, love, and new life.
Another club, Rams Reception, hosted the first-ever NPC (Non-player character) Escape room. The event was held on March 31st (right after Color Run) and April 1st (Friday) and took place in the gym. Many students could go to both events and have lots of fun.
In this game, a group of players discover clues in multiple rooms, solve puzzles, and complete quests to escape the game scene within a limited time. This activity makes new students more involved. Students cooperate in developing their reflexes and quick problem-solving skills. Members from Rams Reception would dress up as monsters and ghosts to chase the players while they are solving the puzzle.
Many teachers also participated in this event, and the response was excellent, stating that the event made them more intimate.
This is the last event planning here in AISG for many seniors, which left a wonderful memory for them.
