Do you ever feel like the second you purchase your food and find a table to sit down, the bell rings? That always happens to me. I think we do not have enough time for lunch because I can never finish my food in time. Furthermore, some teachers do not allow us to eat in class, so I end up being very hungry throughout the day. If I buy takeout, it is bad for the environment and I have to spend 1 more kuai on the container.
We usually only have about 35-40 minutes to eat lunch, and we can’t spend all of this time in the cafeteria. I think we should have one hour. Sometimes, the lines are long, so you get even less time to eat. In one hour, we could probably finish our food and even have time to sit and chat with friends. We should still have the same amount of break time, because in that time I exercise, and exercising is healthy for me. When I interviewed Robbie He, he said, “We have too little lunchtime, and I frequently see many of my classmates eating in class, because there is too less lunchtime”. This means that many of classmates dont finish lunch in lunchtime, and have to eat in class because of it.
Food takes quite long to digest, and it is healthier to chew your food more when you eat. With a longer lunch time, we can be more healthier and more sociable. If we have more time, instead of shoving food into our mouth, we can talk, and eat slower. This helps our digestion system because it needs to work harder if we dont chew our food. We will also have more time to digest our meal, because our stomach can work better if our food is swallowed in smaller peice. we can also focus more on class, because will have more energy in our brain, instead of our stomach.
To conclude, I think that we should have more lunch time, because it helps the environment, our body, and our focus. Many of my classmated agrees with me, and think that we should have more lunch time, so we can finish eating, and focus more on our classes.
