Don’t Know Where to Go For October Break?

Our very first break of the school year is almost here! It’s only been a month of school, and I think that I speak for everyone by saying it’s felt much longer than it’s actually been. No matter where you go during this week-long vacation, I’m sure you will enjoy the break from school (unless you have to go to other classes which sucks).

I am excited to be going back to Phnom Penh after leaving 3 years ago and even more excited to visit my friends and old school. However, this isn’t the only reason I’m looking forward to going back to Cambodia. It is a beautiful country with so much to do, the people are some of the nicest I’ve met, and you don’t need VPN to access anything!

Anna K, who is a ninth grader is planning on going back to Singapore over the break. She will be visiting her friends back home and is really excited about it. A friend of hers who used to go to AISG is living there right now and Anna is “enthusiastic about seeing her again”. Anna will be in Singapore for five days.

Sophomore Gabriel K, will be going to Hong Kong or Macau for the break because his maternal grandfather will be visiting from Korea. “My birthday is during the October break so I’m glad that my grandfather can come and celebrate with me because he’s my favorite grandfather”. Although he’s not sure which of the two he will visit, he is excited to leave Guangzhou for a while.

Mr. Owen is headed to the Philippines for some scuba diving in October. “I am a Rescue Diver and I really enjoy it” he commented. He will be there for a week and will be seeing some friends since he used to live there. Mr. Owen is very excited about going back to visit. He also adds: “I love the Philippines and if you haven’t gone I really encourage it”.
