Recently, AISG’s APAC choir performers travelled to Beijing and participated in the APAC choir event, which was hosted by the Western Academy of Beijing. It was held from Wednesday, November 16 to Sunday, November 20. The members of this year’s choir were Kiki Huang, Hye Jin Chang, Jennifer Yang, Mary Zhang, Maria Elena Little, Sinou Thangal, Leah Lee, Harry Jung, Kenneth Almanda, Kayzad Bharucha, Santiago Villar, Songlin Wu, Hyun Bin Oh, Chirag Asnani, Hyun Min Oh, and Ryan Bott. The group was led by Tony Bott.

The choir performers enjoyed their time in Beijing, and they were fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from an extremely accomplished conductor, Hannah Quinn. They were able to learn a lot from her and improve their vocals.

The whole APAC choir team worked really hard to be prepared for the event, and in the end, they were ready. They were able to collaborate well with the other participating schools. The AISG choir team performed several songs individually during the wonderful APAC choir event, and they worked together with the other schools to sing during the final performance. Junior student Ryan Bott said, “What I love about APAC Choir is that I get to sing with a large group of people with amazing voices. To have the opportunity to work with these people and a spectacular guest conductor is a really great experience.”

All in all, the Rams sang their hearts off and performed very well, ending the choir season on a high note.
