The AISG drone club, that meets every Thursday and/or Friday afternoon, is founded by an upcoming sophomore Parker Lawson. In an interview by our Beacon journalists with Parker, he reveals his unspoken reason behind his interest and love for drones.
“The whole part of building, flying, and learning how to do different things with them,” is what Parker further commented on when asked about his decision in establishing the after school club. His fascination for drones sparked during his second year of middle school. He said, “I was inspired after watching many Youtube videos about different types of drones.” Now, Parker has followed the footstep of his inspirations: creating and flying drones for his new community. However, he wants to expand and go beyond his limits to create bigger and better events for the AISG community such as drone racing.
If you are interested and have time, please come and support the drone club next year!
