Hakka food is a delicacy that can be found in many places such as Hong Kong, Guangdong, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore. It is salty and has a very strong smell. It can be fried, stewed or braised. Staple foods include tofu, rice, pork and soy sauce. There are many famous dishes like stuffed tofu, lei cha, niang tou fu, salt-baked chicken and beef meatball soup. Their dishes are very salty and large because most Hakka people used to work on fields.
The cuisine was made to give energy to it’s consumers, including many foods such as rice. Rice contains many carbohydrates, meaning that whoever consumes it has lots of energy. After eating this cuisine on China Trips, I had a lot of energy to hike on the mountain. I think that this type of food tastes very good because it also include many spices. This gives this cuisine lots of variety of flavor, and I like it because of that.
In conclusion, Hakka food is truly special because it has many famous foods, gives consumers energy, and has many different flavors. Personally, I prefer this kind of food over many other foods because it just tastes good.
