On Friday, the 28th of October, an amazingly decorated Halloween dance was held in the gym. Borders around the gym with trees covered with fairy lights that looked like spider webs definitely created a Halloween mood. Scary eyeball cake pops and blood bags all looked magnificent and people made sure they took a bite and a sip to refill their energy.
During the dance, people dressed up in all sorts of Halloween costumes, such as zombies, ghosts, vampires and many more. As the dance started, various games also began. Ring toss used out-stretched fake hands to hold up the ring and glow sticks in place of rings.
I interviewed Cathy Zuo, a participant in the Halloween Dance, and she said, “The decorations used in the Halloween dance built up the whole spooky mood, and the food looked so realistic that it scared me when I first looked at it.” I then asked about the haunted house that was held during the dance and she answered, “Most people went to the haunted house because it just seems like the ones in theme parks. They look absolutely fabulous.” Also, the costume dress-up competition was a big hook to the event where students stood on the stage and showcased their costume.
I also interviewed Karen and she said, “I enjoyed the dance because of the creepy mood and I also love the drink because the color was awesome.” I then asked about the Haunted House and the Costume Competition and she answered “I wish they would hold the haunted house for longer because I arrived at 7 but they already packed up, but my friends told me that it’s the best part of the whole dance. The costume competition was great because their costumes looked fantastic.”
The Halloween dance this year, held by Pulse, was very successful. A great big thanks to Pulse for holding a Halloween dance for us!
