Humans of AISG: Dylan Chan

You might see Dylan playing basketball in the gym during lunch break or around town at Starbucks near Regal Court in TianHe. He enjoys boxing and playing tennis and is a mixed-doubles tennis player for our APAC tennis team. I asked him about the most exciting event in his recent life, and three objects that describe him. Dylan is a man of few words, but he gave me the following:

“I did manage to finish my all-time favorite game: Legend of Zelda. It was pretty fun…” Legend of Zelda is a Japanese Nintendo game series and has a total of 19 games in the series. “I didn’t really have anything to do during my free time over the summer, so I just played this game every day until it was done.”

“Three things that describe me… I would say rulers, flannel jackets and video games.” A ruler was an unexpected item, as they are often not used for recreation or entertainment. However, Dylan explained, “Ms. Partee would know, but I never use rulers when it comes to drawing graphs for [economics], despite the constant reminders from her. It gets her frustrated sometimes, and we still joke around about it.” As for the flannel jackets, Dylan’s OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) is not complete without his signature flannel jacket.

Dylan Chan is a humorous, lively and welcoming senior. Don’t miss your chance to get to know him, as he will be graduating at the end of this school year.
