International Day took place on May 21st, Saturday. Ersha Campus was bustling with people of all ages. There were many community services attending this event, such as GIN, Habitat for Humanity, HSU and more! There were also many different varieties of food throughout the fair, such as cuisines from India,
Korea, Europe, Indonesia, and Japan. Students, parents, and teachers all celebrated the diverse culture in our community by attending this event. There were different performances throughout the day, with people donating their hair for cancer and elementary students
performing a taekwondo dance. The highlight of the event was definitely the dunk tank, where teachers such as Ms. Brown and Mr. Parker were plunged into the water. Kathleen H., a freshman, said, “I thought it was interesting because all teachers and students get to express and embrace their culture and have fun at the same time.” Overall, it was a great event and I definitely learned more about the different cultures!
