Post-winter break, the newly selected members of APAC Performance Theatre have officially began their practices on Tuesday, January 8, led by Mr. Sinclair and co-captains Leo B. and Esther M.

With this year’s 10-member team already brainstorming skits for the new theme, the new season is promised to be a thrilling and exciting experience for everyone involved. Since there is no script, APAC Performance Theatre is a different and unique atmosphere for members to craft an original story, executing ideas into actions and emotions. They will perform their final piece at Brent International School of Manila at the end of the season.

Co-captain Esther M. describes APAC Performance Theatre as “an experience where people can get together to create stories through action and emotion—without the burden of judgment.”

The team is currently at the stage of hatching ideas out of this year’s theme ‘Find Your Feet,’ and freshman Richard Z. reflected on the first week. “It’s pretty mind blowing. Even though the idea of writing a 10-15 min skit seemed a little overwhelming at first, there was so much to learn and we eventually found some ideas for it.”

“Until now we only had two practices, but we’ve already got some very creative ideas. The process of brainstorming ideas is fun, and can help us know more about each other,” reflected another APAC theatre student, Jenny L.

I personally believe that APAC Theatre members will ‘bring to life’ an interesting performance very soon, and that we should all encourage and support everyone involved.
