Once a print-only publication, AISG’s Liphy has now made their quarterly publications available online.
Liphy is a nonprofit student-led publication that was founded in 2009. It is supervised by Ms. Erica Liu and members of the group write articles in English, translate key-words into Chinese, compile them into a A5 zine, and distribute them among local students as a tool to help them learn English. In previous years, Liphy remained a print-only publication, with the final product being 30-or-so glossy pages devoted to a set theme that was different for each issue. Past topics have included health, travel, food, and sports. This year, Liphy kicked off the year with an issue about the home of Rams – Guangzhou, and following that is the latest Winter Edition. Although the last cold wind of winter may have already blew over Guangzhou, readers can still reminisce about the colder days with Liphy’s collection of student-written articles.
Most of Liphy’s previous members graduated last year, so this year the publication revamped with a new look, and new directions on where the publication will be headed. The print-edition is still available, but in order to gain a larger readership, the team has decided to make their issues available online. This allows all AISG students and the rest of our community to gain access to the compilation of our high-school students’ articles.
As an effort to publicise their work, Liphy has made their issues available online, starting with their Winter Edition.
