At last! The sixth installment of the Mission: Impossible film series, Mission: Impossible – Fallout has arrived in theaters in China (August 31). Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film brings the audience through a heart-racing adventure of fighting in bathrooms, defusing nuclear bombs, and crashing in helicopters. Lie after lie, deception after deception, this movie keeps viewers at the edge of their seats for 147 minutes.
Following the fifth installment, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team find themselves caught up in yet another web of dangerous missions to prevent the activation of nuclear bombs. The film starred many other returning actors such as Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Alec Baldwin as Alan Hunley, and Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust. August Walker—the hidden, evil wire-puller of the story—was played by Henry Cavill, who is well known for his role as Clark Kent / Superman (IMDB).
The action film has received an 8.1 out of 10 stars on IMDB, as well as 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. One of the most astonishing aspects of this film is the heavy stunts that Tom Cruise performs. In a scene where he chases the antagonist, Cruise jumps from the roof of one building to the other. While filming this stunt, Cruise broke his ankle but continued to run. His injury delayed the production of the film while the actor went through rehabilitation. This scene is featured in the film as the final cut (comicbook.com).
Personally, I enjoyed every second of the movie because of its thrilling scenes. The action-packed film constantly surprised me as new information and enemies were revealed throughout the story. The ending of the film left me speechless as I exited the theater.
Whether you are a big fan of the Mission: Impossible series, or simply looking for a heart-racing action film, this movie is for you!
