AISG is an international school, meaning that most of the students come from a family background that uses a different language other than English. Though not always, most of the parents can’t speak English and there are certain instances where parents are unaware of the important school events due to the lack of language fluency. Parents, especially the ones who can’t speak fluent English often face such issues and feels the need for a readily-translated school notification. This year, there has been a request amongst Korean parents for an easily accessible notification, especially from the parents who have joined AISG this year.

Infobyte aims to resolve this issues by translating important school notifications into Korean and informing Korean parents through WeChat and e-mail. The three senior coordinators are Yujin Shin (12), Andy Kim (12), and Stella Kim (12). Infobyte holds meeting every Friday lunch in the library, translating important school notification and sending it out to the parents. Infobyte is looking for new members who are interested in writing Korean and improving their Korean skills. “Anyone who has an adequate Korean skill and is interested in learning Korean is more than welcome to join Infobyte”, said Yujin Shin, the senior coordinator of Infobyte.
