Last Thursday (April 20th), National Honor Society hosted the annual “Pie the Teacher” in the cafeteria. Students and teachers gathered around as Mr. Sinclair, Ms. Martin-Bauer, Mr. Menton, Ms. Allan, Mr. Parker and Mr. Webster sat in a row with their raincoats, awaiting the students to carry out the pie attacks. Prior to the event, many students had purchased raffle tickets, hoping for the chance to finally retaliate for the endless homework, tests and unsatisfactory grades. Punya, senior, remarked, “I was really excited but when I actually did pie him (Mr. Menton), I was scared that I pie-d him too hard. Mr. Menton took it really nicely and said ‘This is how it’s supposed to be.’” The teachers all had hilarious reactions. Mr. Parker ran after his student Haejin Lee and gave him a long hug, making sure to rub most of the cream on his shirt. Mr. Webster made begging poses for his students, as they were initially too terrified to pie him. It suffices to say that all the students and teachers had a good laugh in the process.
