Summer has ended and a new school year has started. Both familiar and new faces are pouring into the school gates to start a new school year. Orientation has finished; students are settling in their classes, and making new friends. Students are enjoying their school year so far.
We talked to a new member of the AISG Ram community about orientation. “I thought it was bit hectic but I enjoyed it. I was pretty excited and nervous but I made a lot of new friends,” said Alice Fiorita, a new 11th grader who is enjoying the school year here.
As the school welcomes new faces, it also welcomes the old ones. An old face returned to the community is our very own junior president of GENCO— Gwen Farm. She told us how she felt at the orientation: “I was really excited to like be back and see familiar faces and new faces too. Since I am in performing arts I just wanted to see what the music department would look like.” Even though she said the campus during orientation was hot and gross, Gwen still insisted that “no bad weather” can stop her from enjoying the orientation with her friends and other fellow Rams.
“For the first time, I got to witness the construction of the new theater and I’m really looking forward to see the finished product,” said Jimmy Kim, currently a junior. The AISG theater is a new campus project currently being constructed.
Students both old and new are looking forward to the completion of our brand new theater as we hear the loud construction going on outside. The theater will be nearing completion in February 2017.
