d_initialDue to suspected threats against a police station in Sydney, Australia, the Australian police have raided two houses so far. The first is home to the family of Talal Alameddine, who was taken into custody in October because of the killing of a police officer outside a police station that is liked to terror. Alameddine is accused of providing the firearm used in the murder of Curtis Cheng. The searches were under firearm legislation, however the police say that no items that were of interest to them were found.

Australia, in the recent months, has intensified their counter-terrorism efforts because of, as officials say, the growing threat of radical Islamists on Australia.
