PSAT Scores

• Bookmarks: 562628

The PSAT stands for the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test and is used to prepare students for the SAT which for most people will be going on their college applications.

The PSAT scores were released for the students to check on December 11. Students were eager to check what their score was after waiting for months thereafter taking the test. The PSAT tells the student where they are what they need to do to improve upon for the SAT which is going to sent to any colleges that a student chooses to apply to.

Most students were nervous to receive their scores, not knowing what exactly to expect to see. Evan T., a sophomore, said that he “didn’t know whether to feel confident or nervous to see [his] score.” When asked how he was feeling during the test he said that he was “very nervous since it was [his] first time doing a test like this.” Later on in the test, [he] felt more confident in [his] answers.” I asked him if he thought the PSAT was good practice he said “Yeah. It is really good because you can get all the nervousness out of your system during the PSAT so that you are ready for the SAT.”

Personally, I think the PSAT is great practice and gets you prepared to adjust the amount of time spent on each question and it prepares you for the future SAT. I was extremely nervous when receiving my scores because I didn’t feel confident in the slightest about them. But after receiving it I was satisfied with my score and now I know what to improve on for the SAT.

Let me know if you were satisfied with your results in the comments.
