This article is going to be suggesting a favorable restaurant in Guangzhou for those of you having a hard time choosing where to eat. This article will give realistic suggestions considering time and conditions of students of AISG.

As students progress to become graduates, the amount of time and effort they have to spend outside of school also grows. Tutoring, group projects, group studying, increased amount of homework and exams make it necessary to spend time outside of class. This creates a situation where eating outside becomes a mandatory decision. However, as students, we usually don’t have a stable income and hesitate in eating foods with price. Also, as this process becomes repetitive, students run out of new places to eat.

This article introduces “Macho Chef” which is newly available restaurant near Regal Court. It is a restaurant which serves Italian food with some Asian marinating. This restaurant serves good food at fair prices, and embraces wide range of age. People, including students, will be able to enjoy the food without having too much economic pressures.

The story behind “Macho Chef” is that a lumberjack from the Rocky Mountains once decided to put his cooking skills to good use and open his own bistro. Crafting salads, pasta, steak and many other dishes with fresh riches plucked from the garden, he baked pizzas over wooden logs, causing a satisfying aroma to represent his shop.

The Tianhe location does feels real. Decorated with timber and fancy decorations; “Macho Chef” presents a hybrid of Korean flavors and Western fare, invented by the same Korean restaurateur of Zoo Coffee.

The signature pizza is just as unique. This skinny pizza is cooked with olives, cherry tomatoes, cheddar peelings and spinaches, each pointy corner stuffed with sweet potato and cheese (Zhang). This pizza is sold at 88RMB, which I think it is a fair price considering the satisfaction.

The tomato risotto is recommended for its fresh taste and smoothness. The taste is not so strong but it might be a little bit spicy as it has been adapted to Asian tastes. The price is a little strong (68RMB) but I would say the input is worth what you get.
