On Saturday, October 5, the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) test took place all around the world.
The SAT is a college entrance exam used by most colleges and universities in the United States. The SAT is a multiple-choice test that tests students on reading, math, writing, and also consists of an optional essay.
The cost of taking the SAT ranges from $46 to $60. The maximum score one can get is 1600 and the average score for all tests in the world is 1060. The length of the test is 3 hours.
If one scores well on the SAT, then the chance of them getting into a better college will increase. Since the SAT test is quite important to students, preparing before the test is crucial.
Marco Lou is a student at AISG who took the SAT on Saturday. He studied before the test as most others do. “I studied by learning the materials of the exam first and then started to do practices,” Marco said. After completing the tests, he check[s] what [he] did wrong and went back and studied it”
Students also have different feelings before, during, and after taking the test. “Because it was a new experience for me, I was nervous at first,” Marco stated. “But I think all of the practice I have done had got me ready.”
Marco later stated that he felt good about the test and that he tried his best on it.
Even though the SAT test is not easy, students are still willing to work hard to prepare for it. Some students have even accomplished new goals, set new goals, and taken another huge step in their life.
Well done to all students who have taken the SAT test.
