Siri: Is It Useful?

Siri is basically on every Apple device that has been released in the past 3 years. It has also been promoted by Apple with much enthusiasm, even collaborating with celebrities such as the Rock and Samuel L. Jackson. In fact, Siri does have many capabilities such as planning, managing time, and navigation.

Planning

Siri can help planning by setting up reminders; you can set up specific time reminders, such as “Hey Siri, remind me to go do homework at 7 pm.” Furthermore, you can add things to your to-d0 list, by telling Siri to “add eat oranges to to-do list,” or “add finish homework to to-do list.” Additionally, you can create events, such as when projects or homework is due. After telling Siri to “add ___ event,” Siri will add this event to the calendar to all your Apple devices.

Managing  Time

Managing time is very simple with Siri. For example, you can set an alarm for something by simply saying “Hey Siri, set an alarm for 8:30.” Additionally, you can set a timer by saying “Hey Siri, set a timer for 20 minutes.” Lastly, you can check dates with Siri. For instance, you can say to Siri “what day is Christmas on?”

Navigation

You can use Siri to find your way to any location; ask Siri to find you the way back home, find your landmarks, or even find the nearest gas station. The advantages of using Siri for navigation is that because Google Maps is blocked in China, you can use Apple Maps instead, with Siri.

In conclusion, Siri is very useful. Considering the fact that most of AISG’s population uses Apple products, this article can help many people of our community.
