SNU Has Their Goal: Let’s Help Them Achieve it.

Special Needs Union (SNU) , is one of the many high school community services that AISG provides to its students. Established just last year, SNU has surprised everyone including its members by becoming one of the most profitable community services in the community.

SNU has started a collaboration with a local organization: 阳光智协 (YangGuāngZhìXiè). YangGuāngZhìXiè is preparing a team to attend China’s national paralympic event as Guangzhou’s representatives. The hopeful outcome of this collab is for students of AISG to be able to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to assist the team on their journey, and for our school to gain interactive experiences through this.

YangGuāngZhìXiè is an organization based in china that devotes themseleves to reach their goal of representing the common interests of the vast number of people with intellectual disabilities, serving them, and promoting their equal and full participation in societal life. This year, they are plannning to organize the, “心青宫,” — “Heart Green Palace,” a service center for the mentally disabled in the Guangdong Province.

Members of the community service have already started attending weekly running activities with the group. SNU is currently conducting volunteer drives, however, due to school regulations, community services are not permitted to have over 20 members. SNU reached its maximum number of members, sometimes doesn’t have enough hands to help. SNU is hopeful that students outside SNU to participate as well.  But with the help of students, SNU might accomplish its goal much faster.

SNU is planning a booth for AISG’s upcoming holiday bazaar, which will take place on December 4^th from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, and they’re hoping to see you there!
