After auditions before break and weeks of preparation, AISG’s judges have selected several groups of talented students that will be performing for us during the talent show on Friday March 4th.
Getting ready for the talent show can be an arduous job; recently, talent show dance participant Carrie Lo said, “Our group practices every lunch and every afternoon, and sometimes we even schedule weekend meetings.” Carrie also commented on their practice session, saying “it was tiring but we had a lot of fun practicing the dance that we’re preforming.”
On the other hand, singing performers practice differently in comparison to dance groups: “We practice every week but not every day.” They also have different thoughts on their practice session—“Personally, I think it’s fun hanging out with friends but the song gets kind of boring over a while, it’s too much. But overall, seeing progress in our performance satisfy me.” However, the school’s talent show isn’t only about pop culture, it also has traditional performances: “We chose to do Indian dance because this is our culture and we want to show people what it’s like.” (Dance group Nikita, Meenu, Ishita, Vikisha 6,7,9,11).
For all their hard work, come and support the students who will be a part of the talent show. The talent show will run from 5:30 to around 7 and tickets will be on sale outside the cafeteria for 25RMB.
