he series of coordinated terrorist attacks on November 13 killed 136, and wounded 352 Parisians. This makes it the most fatal event to have occurred in French soil since World War II – 70 years ago. At least 9 more terrorist attacks have occurred between then and now.
These shootings, and bombings have put numerous governments on high-alert, including the US. The United States just issued an official, Worldwide Travel Alert, warning it’s citizens. “Be aware of immediate surroundings and avoid large crowds or crowded places. Exercise particular caution during the holiday season and at holiday festivals or events.”
Terrorists continue to threaten Europe, and their attacks remain likely.
“Current information suggests that ISIL, Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and other terrorist groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions”, said the US Department of State.
The Travel Alert expires February 24, 2016
