Thanksgiving: A Thankful Celebration

• Bookmarks: 472561

Thanksgiving is one of the most popular holiday celebrated in United States. This year, our school initialized its very first holiday celebration for Thanksgiving.

Some students along with teachers went to the SEOMUN Conference during the Thanksgiving break. What did other students do to celebrate Thanksgiving?

“I normally have a family dinner, this year though, I had about 50 people (friends and my direct family) over to my house to celebrate. There were people from all different nationalities that came,” said Samantha Lucier, a student here at AISG.

Many traditional types of food are eaten during Thanksgiving, which typically include, turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and others. “We had turkey, stuffing, gravy, mash potatoes, dinner rolls, deviled eggs, pumpkin pie, key lime pie, spice cake and much more,” mentioned Samantha.

Regarding the background of your culture, Thanksgiving is a day to send all your thanks out to the people surrounding you. “I want to thank my squad for always having my back and supporting me when I get low. My friends are all really important to me, I love them all so much,” thanked Samantha Lucier. Thanksgiving is a time to send gratitudes to the people around you, make sure to send your thanks to your friends, family and teachers!
