Sichuan, a province in Southern China, is famous for its diverse landscape and culture. Sichuan is also famous for its spicy cuisine. There are Sichuan restaurants all around the world. I will recommend some Sichuanese restaurants and review them.

Spice is the most important element in Sichuan’s Cuisine. Dishes such as spicy fish head, Mapo Tofu, and spicy deep fried chicken are common dishes in Sichuanese culinary culture. Even though spice is commonly used, some dishes don’t require chili at all. The tea-smoked duck is a famous dish where the duck is cooked by local tea leaves.

Pastes and unique sauces are also reputable in Sichuan Cuisine. Local farmers harvest peppers and beans in the fertile highlands of Sichuan. The notorious pepper creates a numb feeling in the mouth which makes it both popular and hated. The Bean Chili Paste is an essential ingredient for dishes such as Mapo Tofu and double-cooked pork.

In Guangzhou, there are a lot of Sichuan restaurants that are really good. Golden Chopsticks is an underrated restaurant found in a lot of different districts in Guangdong. The restaurant is sanitary, and the food is tolerable for even people who don’t eat spicy food.
