Final exams are starting soon and students are overwhelmed with pressure and stress due to all the content that is covered in the tests.
The freshmen will be very stressed out for finals although they are most likely to have the least amount of work compared to the others. As it will be their first time taking a final exam. They have to get used to the expectations for finals and learn how to best prepare for the finals. In fact, according to Mandy C., she feels anxious about upcoming final exams. To cope with the immense stress, she is stress eating. She is worried about the results but also the process of taking the test.
The sophomores are the ones who are perhaps already used to the stress and pressure of preparing for the finals as they have already done it twice. They have each found ways to deal with the stress and better prepare themselves. According to Bryan L., he says that he is currently feeling okay as he is not feeling lots of pressure in preparation for the exams. He says that he is not too worried about the upcoming finals.
As for the juniors, they are most likely to be stressed due to the immense pressure of taking IB-styled exams for the first time. The juniors have to become familiarized with expectations and mark-schemes of IB exams. According to Raymond W., “I am worried about everything. From Chinese and English to Math and Physics, I am trying my best to study everything so I can be prepared but I feel like it is still not enough.”
Final exams start tomorrow and I wish everybody good luck on their finals exams!
