Having immortality has been something even our ancestors have craved. Now, even further in the future where this idea has been teased by movie and books, people are craving immortality even more. In modern times, although we cannot have immortality, we can extend our lives with the science and technology from our society.
Because of scientific advancement, we can now extend our lifespan and make ourselves healthier. Advancements such as medicine, surgery and food production can help us be healthier, in turn extending our lives. Medicine can help cure disease, surgery can add new body parts, and better food production means that we can eat more healthily. This means we can live better lives, and also produce better offspring.
Technological advancements can also improve our lifespans. Inventions such as fake organs and better pacemakers will extend our body’s expiration date. Other inventions such as work robots will also improve our lifespan, as they will decrease the work load on our bodies.
Since our creation, humans have always wanted to be immortal. Because of these different advancements, we will be able to slowly but surely reach our goal of long-life.
