Laurie Halse Anderson: Author and Activist

The New York Times Bestseller author Laurie Halse Anderson, who wrote many YA novels such as Speak, Wintergirls, and Twisted, and has also written historical fiction novels such as Fever 1793 arrived at our campus on January 11th. During her time in AISG, she gave speeches to a lot of high school English classes as well as hosted an assembly for the entire high school. You can read more about it on Abby Paras’s article.

Is AISG Sober or Tipsy?

Even though the legal age drinking age in China is 18 and even though there are laws passed to enforce it, but it’s often not enforced. Alex investigates the question of whether our school sober or tipsy in his article. It includes interviews and research on the subject as well as statistics from a survey that many of our students filled out. Lang & Lit Student TED Talk
