The New Graphic Design Display!

Have you seen the artistic murals displayed for each genre section in the library?

Mr. Boyd’s graphic design high school class was assigned the project of creating graphic displays for each genre section in the library. According to Mr. Boyd, “[they] are a class that does projects for different groups out there and [they] treat it as if it is like a real-life project.” The process consisted of them directly going to Mrs. Navis as if she were one of their clients and ask for any specific preferences she had for the posters. This activity was suggested by Mrs. Navis after she got the idea from a magazine and she “thought it would be a great idea to decorate the library.”

This was newly implemented for the high school section in the library by each student from the graphic design class from the first semester from last year. The middle school section was completed by the students from the second semester. When passing by some of the shelves one might think, what about the ones that are missing their own design? Even though there are still some genres missing their posters, Mr. Boyd assured that, “This semester the graphic design class students are going to continue with this project and keep doing more for the sections that are lacking.” If you are going to the library, don’t forget to check these awesome designs out! This task was accomplished in a the span of three weeks, therefore, show a little appreciation towards each of these forms of digitalized art.
