The Tesla CyberTruck: Does it live up to expectations?

• Bookmarks: 351472

Tesla is known for bringing some of the best cars on the market. Recently, they unveiled their new Cybertruck. The Cybertruck contains 6 passenger seats, armored glass and has up to 500 miles of range. The car is priced at $39,900 which is less than half of the price of the Model X ($84,000), Tesla’s only other SUV model.

Just two days after the announcement, Tesla had sold over 150,000 Cybertrucks. Word about this truck was spread mainly through memes and social media.

The attention that the car received rose due to the design of the car. The blocky shape was the target of internet mockery. There were various memes created mocking the design but it clearly just brought more attention to the car and thousands were sold in just a couple of days.

Elon Musk hosted a reveal for the Tesla CyberTruck and during that reveal, they tested out the glass on the windows used in the car. They tested CyberTruck’s strength and durability by throwing a metal ball at the window and to everyone’s shock, it cracked. Presumably, that would be a low point for a company. However, that incident didn’t affect the sales of the car even after shattering again on the second attempt to demonstrate the strength of the car.

Even though some reviews of the design of Tesla’s new truck were bad, this won’t affect Tesla in any way. Their sales are crushing it and the company is only growing in popularity.
