f_initialFrom the 4th to the 6th of December, AISG was flooded with tall and strong basketball players from different cities of China. WAB (Western Academy Of Beijing), SASPD (Shanghai American School Pudong), NBA School Dongguan and The Sports School of Guangzhou. Both the girls and the boys teams from the different cities came in with courage and passion for the game, making the event a success for the school. Starting on the evening of Friday, and ending on the afternoon of Sunday, everybody was exhausted, but happy with the effort that they had put in. The Ram girls, played with amazing tenacity and energy to come in and place second only to the Sports School. Throughout the tournament, the girls showed great confidence and valour, through team effort and sacrifices for the greater good, the Rams came out victorious, adding another trophy to their beautiful collection.

The Ram boys, came into the tournament as a low seed and stood out creating history at AISG! For the first time the boys secured a position in the finals after going against top school teams in China. Teams that they would go down losing to, were now scared to see the potential the Rams had built this year. Playing the NBA School on Friday evening, they started the tourney with a win. Morning of Saturday was successful against WAB and that evening they were handed their first loss of the tourney to SASPD. Nevertheless, they had secured a position of respect for a low seed team, coming through to hit second place! On Sunday, the finals against SASPD went back and forth, each quarter. Until, in the 4th quarter SAS touched down running and started piling point after point. The Rams had great offensive plays being run, but the ball didn’t seem to find the hoop. In the end, SAS came out on top, but our Rams gave every inch of wingspan, every drop of sweat and practice into coming second, and starting a new legacy here at AISG. The teams our Rams played were taller and stronger, but we are known for putting our 100% into every possession, we Rams never give up. The seniors on the team led the charge and showed the schools that we would live up to that reputation.

All in all, the tournament held here was a huge success with teams having a great time, not only playing ball but meeting other teams they knew. Ti-Cities was a weekend filled with basketball, nerve tingling plays and amazing athleticism at AISG.
