The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, strongly denounced Turkey for shooting down a Russian Su-24 returning from its operation in Syria with F-16s in Turkey-Syria border area. Turkey claims that as they detected two unidentifiable flying objects over the town of Yayladagi in Hatay, Turkey. They soon warned the two unidentifiable flying objects to change directions 10 times via an emergency channel. Because both planes disregarded the warning, according to Turkey, firing was inevitable. However, Putin and the Russian defence ministry rebuts that the Russian plane was not in Turkish but in Syrian territory. As such, Vladimir Putin condemned Turkey. Meanwhile, Obama questioned the motive of Russian operation in Syria, pointing that Russia was attacking moderate opposition groups rather than ISIL (Daesh).
