With auditions coming to an end, the APAC Band and Theater performers are ready for practice. In the next 3 months, they will be jumping into practice to prepare and rehearse skits and musical pieces for their final performance in February 2020.

APAC Band will be bringing 15 musicians to the Western Academy of Beijing (WAB), while APAC Theater will be bringing 10 performers to the Concordia Internation School of Shanghai (CISS).

Junior Chie Y., expresses that it is already her third year participating in APAC and that “time flies by so fast.” She is really excited to “meet new people from different schools” and “to play nice music” this school year. She has one goal that has been set in mind for a while, and to be able to accomplish it Chie says that “[she] will need to practice [her] parts thoroughly if [she] want to get a solo in the actual APAC performance.”

Lihn T., a new member of the APAC band committee, is looking forward to meeting new people and playing lower parts for the bass trombone. She wants to “have fun and enjoy whatever is happening in the present.”

Maya T., a returning APAC theater performer, says that “even though the musical has ended, it feels like a new beginning.” Putting all sadness aside, she is really looking forward to working with a similar team and being able to see her friends from other schools again. “[She] really wants to improvise more while being able to incorporate the ideas of my team members. [She] really wants to listen more to others.”

APAC Band and Theater will roll into action at the end of February next year. Good luck to all the performers!
