Who’s Going to Russia 2018?

It has been three years since the shocking Brazil World cup in 2014. 2017 November 16th as Peru had taken the last ticket to the world cup the 32 countries whom will be heading to the world cup has been all verified.

Australia, Iran, Japan, Korea Republic and Saudi Arabia will all be heading to Russia in 2018. Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, and Tunisia will be the African countries to show the world the fierce and mighty football of the African continent.  After the surprising disqualification of Italy, 14 countries from Europe will be making their way to Russia. Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland will also be competing in this world-passionate-tournament in Russia. From South America, Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, Peru, and Uruguay have all successfully acquired their tickets to Russia. Costa Rica, Mexico, and Panama will also be seen on TV battling other countries for the FIFA World Cup Trophy.

Many specialists made predictions which country will be lifting the FIFA World Cup Trophy after the 2018 Russia tournament. ESPN, a very well-known sports website,  ranked the following 5 countries to be the countries who are likely to win the World cup next year:

ARGENTINA

Ranked in fourth place in the FIFA ranking, Argentina was nominated as the 5th likely team to win the Russian World cup. Argentina has many brilliant football stars but among them, they have the world’s best player Lionel Messi, willing to lift up his first-ever FIFA World Cup Trophy. As it seems the 2018 world cup could be Messi’s last world cup, many specialists agree that Lionel Messi would be more eager than ever to bring Argentina the FIFA World Cup Trophy.

SPAIN

Formerly ranking #1 in FIFA, the country of tiki-taka was nominated as the 4th most likely team to win the world cup. They have been showing a slight decline in their performance, but many people still trust that Spain will reclaim their crown.

FRANCE

The origin country of art soccer, France was ranked 3rd as the team most likely to win the 2018 World Cup. They were ranked 7th place in the Brazil World Cup, and 2nd place in the EURO cup 2016, amazing the world with their beautiful and artistic football style.

BRAZIL

Brazil, the country of passion, music, and football ranked 2nd in the FIFA ranking, was ranked as the second most likely team to carve their name under the FIFA World Cup Trophy.

From Neymar to Marcelo, Brazil’s team is brimming with talented football stars playing all around the world, they won 12 games out of 18 games of qualification and lost only once.

GERMANY

As a former world cup winner, FIFA ranked Germany #1 as the most likely team to win the world cup. Germany has been a traditionally talented football country appearing in the world cup 18 times and winning the world cup 4 times. Their average placing in the past world cup is third place, higher than most countries who will be heading to this world cup.
