Our computers are a crucial part of our school life. They help us to learn in many different ways, while also making tasks more efficient. The Science Park campus requires every student to have a version of the Macbook laptop (Macbook, Macbook Pro or Macbook Air).
However, many students with a serious interest in technology or gaming don’t like using Apple laptops, because of the limited number of programs that they can run. Software developers don’t always make their software compatible with Apple computers.
Some Apple supporters believe that Apple computers are more convenient and safer to use due to fewer viruses. Apple computers are also easier to learn, supposedly, and provide us with useful applications such as iMovie, Garageband, Pages, and so on. There is also an app store for Mac that has many unique games and software to improve your experience with Macs. The Mac system, OS X El Capitan, may be easier to use overall, and has plenty of different controls with the trackpad and the keyboard to improve the productivity of the computer. At any rate, we don’t need to play games or create applications at school, so it may be that this machine is better suited to our school life.
Readers, what do you think—do we benefit from superior technology with our Macbooks, or are we missing out on a whole world of possibilities? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
