Will the Lakers Make the NBA Finals?

Lebron James will be playing for the Los Angeles Lakers for four years, on a $153.3 million contract. Magic Johnson, the Lakers legend, had done all his on homework on James so it would be a possibility for him to sign. Johnson took over as the Lakers’ president of basketball operations last February. He was on a mission to create a future for the Lakers. After 17 hours of meeting with Johnson, James announced that he will be signing a four year deal with the Lakers.

James is one of the most talented players in basketball history. He has made the NBA finals for eight straight years: only four players have done that. Also, James is one of the most flexible players. He carried his team to a win against Chicago last season starting in a position he doesn’t play. James has won 3 NBA titles and plans to win more with the Lakers.

James’ previous team was in the Eastern Conference; however, now he will be playing in the Western Conference against many great teams, like Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets. This year will be tough as competition is higher and the Lakers are a young team. Some are in doubt and assume James will be leaving his prime, as he is 33 years old this year.

I believe that Lebron will work with the young core of Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and Brandon Ingram to earn another title. People continue to doubt him; however, each year he gets better and better. In his 2014-15 season, his field goal percentage was 48, and then in his 2016-17 season, it improved to 54.8%. He is a hard worker and he is motivated to get his 4th title. For those doubters, watch his debut on October 19 and see how he continues to dominate in the league.
