“On Wednesdays We Wear Pink!”

For the third day of Spirit Week, the theme was Breast Cancer Awareness Day (PINK Day). Some students put in minimal effort and just wore a pink accessory while others went all out and dressed from head to toe in pink. Many of those who could not find any pink clothing in their closet wore purple and Mr. Parker said, “Purple is in the pink family!”

On International Day in April, girls donate their hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. The organization creates real-hair wigs for women with cancer. Last week, there was a bake sale to raise money and awareness for breast cancer since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Various organizations worldwide work together to raise awareness and support, and it is great that our school makes efforts to take part in this.
